
SHORT BIO
Tzina Trikka is a Greek 30 year old circus artist and trainer, living currently in Berlin, Germany. She is professionally involved in this field for more than 9 years. Having a strong background in dance movement (oriental, tribal, contemporary, hip hop and improvisational), yoga and aerial acrobatics as student and instructor (Volos, Greece and Barcelona, Spain), she enters a circus school in 2016. She studies circus arts at Rogelio Rivel, Barcelona, in 2016-2017. Next, goes back to Thessaloniki, Greece, where she works in the circus school Monokyklo as a trainer and as an artist being part to its and to other independent performative productions in town, starting also to form an international network through it. In 2020 she completes her studies in the Duende Physical Theater School (director John Britton) in Athens, Greece. Later, in 2020 enters to the MA program in the contemporary circus field at DOCH, Stockholm, Sweden, where her main field of research is hair hanging- movement qualities and rigging approaches. Her research work was presented at the CircusMania Festival in Stockholm. After this, she counts few performative circus creations presented in Berlin’s and Athen’s venues- theaters, tends and contemporary spaces.
